Welcome to the Scottish Poetry Library podcast

Our podcast is published fairly regularly with a combination of new and archive episodes going back to the opening of the new library building in 1999. The Scottish Poetry Library website also has a wealth of poems and resources to explore. Finally, you can visit us in our beautiful building just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Judy Brown’s first book, Loudness (Seren, 2011) was shortlisted for the 2011 Forward Felix Dennis prize for best first collection. Jennifer Williams met her in 2012 to discuss how she approaches poetry, using her poem ‘Spontaneous Combustion’ as a way into her work and methods of composition.
